I just assumed i did, because right after installing hearthfire, a courier came up to me and handed me a letter, and i thought it must have been the 'you can buy some land' or 'you can adopt a kid' letters, so i didn't bother looking in my inventory, but it turns out it was something else entirely. Hard reinstall (deleting all skyrim related files and reinstalling, deleting all saves, didn't have any worth saving and i want to start the game.
